Brand Strategy

The cornerstone of all marketing starts with a strong brand strategy. This is where the magic happens. I’ve consulted and worked on a wide variety of brands and my favorite projects have involved merging two brands together. Below are two of my favorite examples that I helped bring to life.

Google Nest Rebrand

Nest Labs Inc. was initially a “new bet” under the Alphabet Inc. umbrella and was formally folded into the Google Hardware team in 2019 in an effort to find synergies in the growing smart home space. As a part of the merger, the Nest brand evolved and came together with the Google Home brand to form Google Nest and required a heavy undertaking to update all retail assets and merchandising worldwide.

Google Fitbit Rebrand

Also in 2019, Google acquired Fitbit and took their time deliberately integrating them into their family, harnessing the power of both with the tagline “Help by Google. Health by Fitbit.” The new look and feel of Fitbit within the context of Google is just starting to come to life at the perfect time as AI enters our world bringing the potential for personalized health insights and coaching that Google Fitbit is poised to deliver. I’m thrilled to be a part of the team working on this.
